Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities

Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you incomes, you can send your employer a written demand for payment of incomes by mail, e-mail, text message, or other electronic methods. A written need may be sent out to the company at the exact same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for overdue wages is submitted with the Division. The Labor Standards Complaint Form can be found on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements website.
Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a total Labor Standards Complaint Form is received and examined, a letter discussing the nature of the problem and the quantities declared to be owed is sent out to the company. Investigations Launched by the Division (” Direct Investigations”): The Division may conduct employer-wide direct investigations of potential violations of Colorado wage and hour law. If you would like to submit a specific claim for unsettled salaries, you need to fill out a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements webpage.
